Neighborhood Residential Sustainability Teach-In
Residential sustainability seminars are a great way to bring a community together. Residents can get to know one another better get information from providers and neighbors who have already implemented similar strategies.
Topics include:
Energy Conservation: How much energy do homes use and what are options for renewable energy?
Weatherization: Improve the health, safety and energy efficiency of your home.
Solar Thermal (Hot Water): Make your own heat and hot water.
Solar PV (Photovoltaic): Make your own electrical energy.
Green Roof: Build a meadow on your home.
We will discuss costs and benefits of each of these strategies including pricing, incentives, tax credits, rebates and return-on-investment as well as feasibility for different types of homes. We will also request providers of these strategies be present to discuss their work answer questions.
You provide the location (coffee shops or local restaurants work great!) and we’ll bring the speakers. Approx. 2 hours. No fee.
